TO SUFFER: Both horizontal hands closed tightly and circled slowly and with tension around each other in vertical circles up-out-in-down-up, hands several inches apart.

TO STUDY: Hold open left hand as the page of a book; point all fingers of right hand at it; push fingers toward and draw away several times the while they are worked with a vibrating motion.

TO SHOUT: Right thumb and index, palm inward and vertical as if drawing a stream of air from the mouth by repeated motions.

TO SEPARATE: Both hands back to back, fingers pointing outward, right palm rightward and left palm leftward, separate to the sides as if pushing some to one side and some to the other.

SUN: Spell, or, right vertical index traces the sun’s disc, in the sky, and right “&” hand, fingers pointing away from the disc, are opened as the hand descends.

SUMMER: Draw the crooked forefinger of the “G” hand across the forehead.
